Firefighters Complete Emergency Medical Responder Course
May 24, 2017
Members from Pleasant Hill and Goshen Fire Districts completed an intensive 10 week training course to become state licensed as Emergency Medical Responders (EMR). EMR is the first level of EMS training recognized by the State of Oregon and allows members to provide care to sick and injured patients. This training course provides life safety skills for emergency responders to aid in times of medical and trauma emergencies. Training in the course includes training in CPR, Cardiac and Respiratory emergencies as well as life threatening trauma. 11 total fire and EMS personnel from Pleasant Hill, Goshen, Dexter, Lowell and Harrisburg Fire Districts attended and completed the training course. We are proud of our members and the dedication and commitment that was required in completing the course. This course represents the continued commitment by Pleasant Hill and Goshen Fire Districts to provide the best service possible to our patrons. Look for these new EMR's to be responding to a call near you!
